Spice up your life: 90s pop, platform boots and girl power come to London with new Spice Girls exhibition

Spice Girls Exhibition, London 2018
Stop Right Now and Spice Up Your Life with the exhibition everyone will Wannabe at this summer.

Travel back to the 1990s with a heady dose of girl power, body glitter and platform shoes at the new Spice Girls exhibition. London pays homage to all things Scary, Sporty, Baby, Posh and Ginger with an extensive collection of memorabilia, costumes and even the Union Jack patterned Spice Bus that was immortalised in Spice World the Movie.

At Islington's Business Design Centre you can get up close to the costumes you coveted from Spice Girls music videos. Victoria Beckham may be the darling of haute couture now, but her first fashion hit was with the tailored little black dress in Wannabe. There are tracksuits worn by Mel C, which tap into the current trend for 90s ath-leisure. Emma Bunton's oh-so-sweet pastels will feature alongside Mel B's bolder animal prints. And there'll be plenty of the vertiginous boots and micro minis worn by Geri Halliwell.

SpiceUp is the biggest pop music exhibition to come to London and it offers up some irresistible nostalgia for all 90s kids. But this celebration of the chart-topping girl band is also a timely reminder that five women in short skirts and sequins have the power to make a lasting impact.
