Culture Whisper's predictions sweep the board at the Olivier Awards 2014

Don't say we didn't tell you that this little lot were destined for greatness...

Rory Kinnear's Iago at the National snagged him the Best Actor award at the Oliviers 2014

We don’t usually blow our own trumpet at Culture Whisper. But we couldn’t help but notice how many of the Olivier Award-winning plays announced on Sunday 13 April 2014 we’d previewed for subscribers – weeks and sometimes months before any reviews appeared in the traditional media.

Thanks to those previews, subscribers with an interest in London theatre (from the best new stagings of Shakespeare to the most exciting contemporary plays now being written) had the opportunity to buy tickets to future award-winners – including Othello, Ghosts, The Amen Corner, Chimerica, Jeeves and Wooster, Handbagged, The Wind in the Willows and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory before they sold out...

In fact one of the few productions we didn’t preview was The Book of Mormon – but then, we think devoting web pages to telling you about stuff you already know is a waste of everybody’s time. Instead, we prefer to offer a curated, personalised selection of events and experiences you might otherwise miss.

If you’d like to be in on the plays, operas and dance destined to win 2015’s Olivier Awards, simply take our quiz and sign up for membership. For an annual subscription of just £65, you'll be able to take advantage of an entirely bespoke guide to arts and culture in the capital.

Trumpet blowing over. We hope you agree that in this case, we had a pretty good excuse.
