GUEST SPOT: Our second instalment of Deliciously Ella's Guide To London, with the best raw food restaurants in London, hand-picked for Culture Whisper by Ella Woodward.

Ella Woodward, AKA 'Deliciously Ella'
Who is Deliciously Ella?

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably come across Deliciously Ella online, or spotted one of Ella's innumerable magazine appearances since she started writing her blog in 2012.

Having replaced her diet with a regime of pure whole food and natural plants, the then 21-year-old Ella Woodward left conventional medicine in favour of holistic, natural methods to help her address a rare illness with which she was diagnosed in 2011. Along with constant fatigue came heart palpitations, chronic pain, stomach issues and innumerable headaches – but Ella's investigative journey into natural recipes and healthy living helped to lessen the unpleasant side-effects she had experienced, and she decided to share her new-found knowledge via her now lauded Deliciously Ella blog.

She's been blogged her way to the top, and has already released a best-selling app, as well as her debut Deliciously Ella cookbook, and hosts cooking classes, supper and brunch clubs – she's also training as a naturopathic nutritionist. Ella's blog offers her readers the best recipes for healthy living – from 'sumptuous desserts' to 'delicious dips' it's all about natural ingredients that leave you feeling great.

Now she brings Culture Whisper a series of curated lists, giving her recommendations of the best healthy eating spots out and about in the capital.

The second instalment in 'Deliciously Ella: recommended restaurants' series is this round-up: read her pick of the best raw food restaurants in London:

Deliciously Ella says...

'London has seen the most amazing expansion of healthy restaurants, cafes and juice bars, which is so exciting. It’s now pretty easy to find cold-pressed, organic juice, kale salads, energy balls, healthy brownies and delicious veggie dinners in central London! I think I’ve tried pretty much every place out there now and seem to be working my way through all their menus too, so I’ve shared all my favourite places and their best dishes below, so that you can get your health fix in London.'

Nama

'This is an amazing raw restaurant with some of the most beautiful, inventive food I’ve ever eaten. I’m obsessed with all their raw desserts, the kale salad, fermented blueberry cheesecake and all the breakfast options. If you’re going to visit just one place on this list then I would go for Nama, it’s pretty perfect.'

Wild Food café

'This is the oldest raw food place in London (I think!) It has great food and a lovely atmosphere. It can be little too ‘hippy’ for some people with its communal tables but I love it. They make an especially awesome raw pizza, falaffels and insane desserts like raw bannofee pie and chocolate cake.'

Tanya’s

'This is another great raw food place, they make the most amazing raw tacos – it’s worth visiting just for those! They also do an incredible healthy breakfast and my favourite medicinal mushroom lattes, which sound weird, but taste amazing.'
