FOR KIDS: Michael Morpurgo's Pied Piper of Hamelin
Over the swells of the LPO Orchestra, under the indefatigable baton of Vladimir Jurowski, Michael Morpurgo narrates his version of the Pied Piper. This concert is a perfect introduction to classical music on the Southbank for a child of any age.
FRINGE PICK: Little Light, Orange Tree Theatre
It looks like 2015 will be playwright Alice Birch’s year: she already has a play in the National’s new season. Catch her work in the intimacy of the Orange Tree Theatre to get a taste of what to expect.
ON STAGE: Onegin
This Royal Ballet production is a five-star knockout: Bolshoi star Natalia Osipova is exquisite. Plenty of tickets left for Wednesday Feb 11 so get booking, even if ballet’s not your thing.

In these twin Photographer's Gallery exhibitions, 'Anima' and 'The Wildest Prairies', Dumas’ subject is the wildness and tenderness of horses through the ancient bond working animals share with humans. Great for kids.

War, machines and brutality come to mind when we consider the work of master-sculptor Jacob Epstein. But in this tiny Foundling Museum exhibition, babies in bronze or charcoal give us a glimpse of his softer side.
CONCERT OF THE WEEK: LPO Rachmaninoff
Momentous forces at work in this Royal Festival Hall concert, the latest instalment in the Southbank Centre’s Rachmaninoff extravaganza. The London Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir take on the Spring Cantata and Three Russian Folk songs, followed by Enescu’s massive Third Symphony.
