BFI Southbank will kick-off its February season with a tribute to Katharine Hepburn, one of Hollywood’s most iconic actresses. From the 1st of February to the 19th of March, 24 films will showcase Hepburn's long-running Hollywood career, from early recognition in Morning Glory (1933) to her fourth Oscar in On Golden Pond (1981).

The series will include such classics as Bringing Up Baby (1938), The African Queen (1951), and The Lion in Winter (1968), and an extended run of The Philadelphia Story (1940) which will be re-released by the BFI in selected UK cinemas from February 13th. A season introduction from writer and critic Hannah McGill (4th February) will examine Hepburn’s unique persona, discussing how she changed female stereotypes and her incredible strength of will.

The BFI's Audience Choice film this month will pay tribute to this classic heroine of the Hollywood Golden Age, with a retrospective screening of 'Strong Women' in cinema, with the film voted for by the public. Click here to cast your vote.

Tickets are £11.50 (non members) and £9.50 (concessions).
