Yayoi Kusama, Victoria Miro

Yayoi Kusama is one of the world's most popular artists. From interventionalist performance 'happenings' that opposed the Vietnam war in the '70s, to polka-dots, stuffed phalluses and pumpkins, the Japanese artist has always been a shapeshifter. This spring, head down to Victoria Miro's Wharf Road space to encounter a new series of paintings, My Eternal Soul.

Mona Hatoum, Tate Modern

Palestinian artist Mona Hatoum is one of the most radical artists around. Something of a shock-merchant, her political works aim to revolt as much as inspire. Take 'Corps étranger' or ‘Deep Throat’ installations that use endoscopic journeys through the interior landscape of the artist’s own body. This month, she comes to the Tate Modern,, for the first ever survey of her work.

Painting with Light: Art and Photography, Tate Britain

The Tate Britain has been a little iffy of late. We're excited about Painting with Light, though, which celebrates the relationship between early photography and British Pre-Raphaelite, Aesthetic and British impressionist. Look out for Millais, Rossetti, Whistler, Turner, and Singer Sargent.
