A Breakfast of Eels, the Print Room

A brand new play from playwright Robert Holman has its world premiere as part of the Print Room's 2015 season.

A Breakfast of Eels, the Print Room
Two orphaned brothers come together on the day of their father's funeral. Their story unfolds in a London garden in late summer. This promises to be a haunting two-hander as the boys reminisce about their childhood and struggle to find meaning or identity in a world without their parents. And with playwright Robert Holman’s particular skill for delicate dialogue and complex, multi-faceted characters, this emotional subject-matter is in safe hands.
The brothers at the heart of the play will be played by Holman's muse Andrew Sheridan and Outstanding Newcomer Award Winner Matthew Tennyson. Robert Hastie directs, fresh from the success of his production My Night with Reg at the Donmar, which has earned a well-deserved West End transfer to the Apollo this January.
Don’t just take our recommendation: Punk Rock playwright Simon Stephens tweeted in praise of Holman’s A Breakfast of Eels, calling it "a shattering play. I urge you to see it. He is a proper hero of mine."
