It's been just over a month now since Brexit shook the world. And in the midst of such uncertainty, we've been asking some key questions. What will the future of burrata and escargots be on the menus of the capital's eateries? And will French actress Juliet Binoche or Belgian director Ivo Van Hove still have access to London's most prestigious stages?

But when it comes to the matter of money, we're still pretty clueless. News outlets tell us that the pound has plunged, financial markets tremble and companies cut back on their investments. Beyond the jargon, though, our future is uncertain.

Enter Joseph Stiglitz, the former Chief Economist at the World Bank, current University Professor of the Columbia Business School, and best-selling author of Globalization and Its Discontents, The Roaring Nineties, Making Globalization Work, Freefall, The Price of Inequality, The Great Divide and his latest, The Euro. In a talk due to be given on Wednesday 31 August, Stiglitz will be discussing the effects of Brexit on the financial climate across Europe, identifying and discussing some of the fundamental flaws of the euro project, and forecasting its future.
