Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction: Best of the Best Live, Piccadilly Theatre
Baileys Women’s Prize for Fiction turns twenty this year.
To mark its anniversary, the prestigious literary award is staging ‘Best of the
Best Live’ at the Piccadilly Theatre, celebrating the best female-authored fiction.
Hosted by co-founder and Labyrinth author Kate Mosse, the event looks back on the winning books of the past ten years. From Zadie Smith’s expansive masterstroke On Beauty to Ali Smith’s formally ingenious How To Be Both, a panel of judges, Shami Chakrabati and Joanna Trolloppe among them, will decide on the decade’s very best.
Celebrated actors, including Sheila Hancock and Stanley Tucci, will also take to the stage, reading extracts from each of the winning novels. We can’t think of a better way to revisit literary landmarks of recent years.
