Harper Lee: A Discussion with Hadley Freeman, Lutyens and Rubistein Bookshop

A new book from Harper Lee: London 'Go Set A Watchman' event with panel discussion features Hadley Freeman.

Hadley Freeman Talk: Harper Lee event, London
The literary world is waiting with bated breath for July 14 when, 55 years since To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee will publish a new book.
To mark this publication, Lutyens and Rubinstein bookshop host a panel discussion of To Kill A Mockingbird and its place within the literary canon.
Go Set a Watchman picks up where Mockingbird left off, and sees Scout as an adult living in New York in a time of seismic political change, in a situation at odds with her Alabama childhood. The novel was written in the '50s before Mockingbird, but presumed lost until last year.
Journalist and author Hadley Freeman will be on hand to provide an American perspective on proceedings. We're massive Hadley fans, and can't wait to hear her brainy, feminist, cynical take on Harper Lee. Filippe Sands QC, a UCL law professor and author provides a legal point of view. Mother and daughter author duo Louisa Young and her daughter Isabel Adomakoh Young (Lionboy) will also speak.

Tickets cost £20 and include a copy of Go Set a Watchman and a glass of wine
