Eat, Drink, Think: General Election 2015: 'The Story So Far'
Eat Drink Think events
Eat Drink Think believes that the best meals are those that come with a side offering of ideas. So, for two nights in April, they are providing a three course meal, a fully stocked bar and a line up of political commentators to get guests fired up before they cast their votes in May.
Eat Drink Think: Politics; In Shorts
On Thursday 16 April ‘Politics; In Shorts’ sees Rob Hughs of Conclave weekly film festival present a selection of short films that draw out what he believes are the most compelling ideas in politics today. Expect the ideas to be delivered via factual and non-factual storytelling, documentary and animation.
Menu
The menu features a starter of spring asparagus risotto with rocket and pecorino, followed by pink sea trout with lime, dill and samphire butter, crushed new potatoes and tender stem purple sprouting broccoli. And to finish, a delectable sweet rhubarb and frangipane tart
Eat Drink Think: General Election 2015; The Story so Far
On Thursday 30 April, Eat Drink Think will host its second event: 'General Election 2015; The Story so Far'.
Tristan Pringle, ad-man and founder of political advertising.co.uk is joined on stage by three political commentators: Philip Cowley, academic and author; Stephen Bush, online political editor at The New Statesman; Caroline Kent, Daily Telegraph Columnist.
These political pundits will look at what exactly what the political parties are promising voters, who is winning the spin wars and what a hung parliament might really look like.
Menu
The menu will feature a starter of spinach and goat cheese tart, followed by salmon and whitebait fish cakes with spring green salad, and for dessert, a caramelised and spiced banana cake.
Pringle says: "We believe the combination of dinner and shared entertainment creates a great social setting for constructive discussion. We provide access to informed voices and opportunities for conversation - essential ingredients for reflection and progress that can be scarce in time-poor lifestyles. We hope our guests will benefit from these events when considering their vote in this tight-rope election."
