London College of Fashion courses are in high demand. Whilst you may not have time to apply for a degree, this talk promises to be an excellent fashion tutorial for those interested in the genre.
Chaired by Prof. Frances Corner OBE, Head of London College of Fashion and in association with Neal’s Yard (of rose beauty balm fame), this second annual lecture presents Prof. Avner Offer and Dr. Henrietta Bowden-Jones. They join together to discuss how we use creative design to help solve problems of sustainability within fashion.
This is a timely talk: Stella McCartney's eco fashion is already well established and new companies such as Brothers We Stand, are putting sustainable fashion at the heart of their ethos. As sustainable fashion brands move to the front of fashion consciousness, it will be interesting to hear ideas on the subject from the leading thinkers within the field.
Prof. Helen Storey, Professor of Fashion and Science at LCF says:
"It’s hard to imagine how the role of design in all our lives could be better informed, than by attending this lecture – if you hold any form of creative intentions, which seek to bring anything from products to inspiration into this world, you need to know this stuff before making a single mark!"
