Love each other or perish: 50 greatest love poems, Southbank Centre

An evening of romance, heartbreak, joy and pain, with our greatest love poems narrated by some of our most distinguished actors.

Love each other or perish: 50 greatest love poems, Southbank Centre

Fall in love all over again this summer with a selection of the most moving love poems from the past 50 years, brought to life by a section of actors and poets.

This literary love-in follows the Southbank Centre’s staging of Shakespeare’s Sonnets and we expect a similarly starry selection of speakers. The featured poems and cast of speakers are yet to be announced, but we predict some favourites from Auden and Carol Ann Duffy alongside lesser-known gems. We’ve got our ear to the ground here at Culture Whisper, so will let you know as soon as the programme is announced.

Whether you’re looking for romantic inspiration or to see stunning poetry expertly performed, book now for what promises to be a lovely, love-themed journey through modern poetry.
