Paris in Verse, Institut Français
Join award-winning actors Charlotte Rampling and Lambert Wilson at the Institut Français on 28 April for an evening of poetry and Paris.

Paris in Verse continues the series Dead Poets Live, the hit show that mixes great actors and great poetry live on stage. Rampling and Wilson will perform Hope Mirrlees’s poem Paris, a 1919 modernist masterpiece which leads listeners on a tour of the French capital. They will also read some of the works of T.S. Eliot that were influenced by French literature and his experience of Paris. The performance will be in both English and French.

Part of the Projet Lumières fundraising campaign, Paris in Verse will be the inaugural performance in the Institut Français’s newly removated salons. Profits from the evening will contribute towards the creation of a second cinema at the Institut – the Ciné Lumière II.

Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so book ahead now to avoid disappointment.
