Birmingham Repertory Theatre's The Snowman 2023, Peacock Theatre

It’s the most magical season of all: Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman returns to the Peacock Theatre for the 26th year

The Snowman, Peacock Theatre
The flying snowman from Raymond Briggs's world-famous picture book will once again touch down at the Peacock Theatre this November, ready for the Christmas season. .

The Snowman has seen numerous adaptations, most notably the 1982 classic animated television special, but since 1997 the Birmingham Repertory Theatre's own adaptation has become the seasonal treat at the Peacock Theatre.

Like the film, the show is entirely without dialogue and follows a boy and his snowman on a Christmas adventure, where they encounter everything from dancing reindeer to Father Christmas himself. Howard Blake’s score, including Walking in the Air, will be performed by a live orchestra.
