Art from around the World Workshop, Creative Arts Club

Jet across the world without leaving West London by signing up your children for an art workshop at the Creative Arts Club this October half term

Michaelmas Half Term: Around the World
This Michaelmas Half Term, Culture Whisper favourite - the Creative Arts Club - is hosting another week of arts and crafts for children. This time, kids will be travelling all around the world from the inside of the Creative Arts Club room in Notting Hill, exploring art from all corners of the globe before creating their own masterpieces in different folkloric styles.
The week begins with an introductory day exploring countries and flags and a lesson in Northern American style of art when kids are let loose with pens and paints to create their own Jasper John pop art creations.
Leaving North American, children embark on a whistle-stop tour that encompasses South America, Africa, Asia and Australia. Over the week, they will be able to work with a variety of materials that’ll have them weaving, sculpting, and painting to their hearts’ content, making collaged Molas, part of the traditional outfit of women from Panama, Benin Oba sculptures from the Benin Empire in West Africa, mini silk panels from West Africa and Aborigine rain-sticks from 'down under' in Australia.
Whilst you're at it, book them into the Creative Arts Club christmas workshop to ensure kids have a very merry Christmas too.
Suitable for children aged 5 to 8.
