Outdoor art exhibitions are all the rage this summer.
Kickstart your kids' creativity by signing up for Drawing: Out and About at the Dulwich Picture Gallery. Every Wednesday evening, from 21 June to 12 July, children are invited to get inspired and draw like Sargent – outdoors.
Children can explore the grounds and create some of their own location drawings in the style of the watercolour master himself. Children can experiment with a variety of mediums through which to express their creativity. Ink, watercolour, graphite and pastel options on different surface materials will all be available under the tutelage of artist Jo Veevers.
This programme is perfect for kids who want to broaden their artistic horizons, and gain some extra-curricular insight into the history, study, and process of art.
