A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, Little Angel Theatre

A thought-provoking short story from acclaimed author Gabriel García Márquez hits the stage for the little ones this autumn

A Very Old Man, Little Angel Theatre, Christmas 2016
Based on a magic realist short story by Gabriel García Márquez -- the Columbian writer considered one of the greatest authors of the 20th Century -- comes an emotional story about an old man who falls from heaven at the Little Angel Theatre this Christmas.

The whole village is on the brink of collapse, world has been sad since Tuesday and the child has a fever. The dog is madly chasing its tail, Mother needs a new broom and Father gazes out longingly as the sea.

But what's this? The sky is darkening, the sea is blowing aggressively and suddenly, in a bolt of lightening, a very old man with enormous wings crashes to earth. Who is this old man, and will things ever be the same again?

Book now for this thoughtful stage adaptation for children which deals with the complex themes of suffering, outsiders and religiosity through the medium of puppets.
