Few bands inspire the kind of devotion that Radiohead do. But then again, few bands maintain such high standards; from Pablo Honey to King of Limbs, the Oxfordshire five piece have released nine albums, and not a dud among them.

Over the course of the past three decades, they’ve have risen from indie obscurity to generation-defining prevalence. Yet, despite their popularity, Radiohead could hardly be accused of populism. Their lyrics can be devastating; if you’re feeling worse for wear, it’s best to avoid the dystopian musings that make up much of OK Computer.

But it’s the band’s refusal to settle into a comfortable rut that’s the real secret to their endurance. Yes, they have their sonic signatures – fiddly guitars and an agitated lyrical outlook chief among them – but they’re constantly drawing in new influences, most often from the cutting edge of electronic music.

Their most recent album A Moon Shaped Pool is one of the year's most talked about releases; a future classic that sits comfortably alongside the likes of In Rainbows and Kid A. In support of the release, the band are heading out on the road after four years off from touring, including three dates at London's Roundhouse.
