Beach House, Shepherd's Bush Empire

Don't miss Dream Pop luminaries Beach House, O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 31st October.

Shepherd's Bush: Beach House London Gig
Drawing on a ‘90s dream pop tradition, Beach House make music that feels both human and celestial. Since their eponymous debut in 2006, Victoria Legrand’s elegiac vocals and spectral organ arrangements have found their perfect foil in Alex Scally’s shimmering guitar work.
Beach House Style
Their music is atmospheric, bringing to mind vast, half-lit landscapes. Yet amid the enormity which it conjures is palpable intimacy; Legrand’s voice soothes as it awes.Since their debut offering, Beach House have allowed the anthemic to creep into their song writing, and to great effect. ‘Myth’, the opening track of their most recent album Bloom, finds arpeggiated guitars rushing towards a searing refrain. ‘Help me to name it’, Legrand implores, her voice urgent and self-possessed .
New Beach House
The band’s newest album Depression Cherry is due for release this August. If their previous work is anything to go by, it’s likely to prove a beautiful addition to the shoegazing songbook. Touring in support of the album, Beach House have already sold out their first London date at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Book now for their second night at the venue on 31st October.
