Belle and Sebastian, Royal Albert Hall

Next summer at the Royal Albert Hall: Belle and Sebastian 20th Anniversary celebration.

Belle and Sebastian, Royal Albert Hall
Belle and Sebastian: London Gig
It's hard to believe that the beloved Belle and Sebastian have been playing together for two decades. And yet, to celebrate their twentieth anniversary, the Scottish indie pop luminaries will play two concerts at the Royal Albert Hall; one dedicated to their debut album Tigermilk, the other to their masterpiece If You're Feeling Sinister.
These Glaswegians were everyone’s favourite art school kids when they formed in 1996. They wore cardigans and knitted cute melodies. What really won everyone’s heart, though, was their storytelling. Their lyrics explore the inner lives of oddballs, crises of faith, little stories of love and death and rainy days. "Hilary went to the Catholic Church because she wanted information/ The vicar, or whatever, took her to one side and gave her confirmation" and "Everyone suffers in silence a burden/The man who drives minicabs down in Old Compton/ The Asian man/ With his love hate affair/ With his racist clientele."
Frontman Stuart Murdoch and the gang have steadily turned out critically acclaimed albums, roughly one every two years, including their latest 2015 effort, Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance. And yet, their two 1996 efforts, Tigermilk and If You're Feeling Sinister, are their best loved; and these are to be performed at the Royal Albert Hall. we can't wait for the nostalgic thrill of hearing these songs live, sonds like: The State I Am In, Mary Jo, Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying and our favourite ever Belle and Sebastian track, the titular If You're Feeling Sinister.
Get booking: these tickets will go quick, and you can be sure that opportunities to see this band in the UK, let alone London, will remain as fleeting as ever.
