radical-chic rockers Fat White Family and indie folk's Daughter (among many others) for just a fiver?
A special fundraising gig will be hosted at St Stephen’s Church in Shepherd’s Bush next month, in support of food awareness charity The Felix Project. The initiative travels the city collecting surplus and waste food from supermarkets, wholesalers and other suppliers and redistributes it free of charge to more than 50 charities.
Some of the most acclaimed names in pop, rock and soul are coming together for this one-off gig – also in the line-up are soulster Michael Kiwanuka, rockers Bear’s Den, new folk's Lucy Rose, acoustic balladeer Charlie Cunningham, power-pop trio Palace and upcoming local West London singer-songwriter Isaac Gracie. Spoken word by Jamie Lee makes this an event not to be missed.
It’s a fairly small, exclusive venue, and places are limited – The Felix Project is offering just 150 tickets to be allocated by raffle for a donation of £5, which will go towards funding the projects continued efforts in minimising food waste and feeding the hungry in the city. Your fiver only guarantees you entry to the ballot and your chance to win, but you can be sure that it’s going towards a worthy cause.
Each ballot entry requires a £5 minimum donation and you can enter as many times as you like. Get your entries in soon – the ballot closes on 24 February and winners will be notified by 2pm.
