Who are La Femme? Tipped as the hottest new ticket on the French indie scene, the band was started by keyboard player Marlon Magnée and guitarist Sacha Got in Biarritz. As the group grew, so did their style, from surf-rock to German-inspired, French-flavoured krautrock, experimental 1970s psych-rock utilising improvisation and hypnotic rhythms.

That's exactly what La Femme are expected to bring to Shepherd's Bush on November 17th, a synthetic sound overflowing with mystery and trippy rhythms influenced by a vast range of artists, from the Velvet Underground to Kraftwerk. With vocalist Clemency Quélennec, the sound of the group is constantly shifting. Psychedelic and sensual, it's this holistic, meta new-wave sound which has brought them much attention and critical acclaim on the European indie scene.

La Femme's first EP was released in 2010, followed by Le podium #1 in 2011 and La Femme in 2013. Their debut album Psycho Tropical Berlin was awarded the Victories de la Musique in 2014.

The group's second album, Mystère is out now.
