Grip the Grape: the WineBarn's Annual Portfolio Tasting at the Army & Navy Club

Featuring over 140 German wines, the WineBarn's annual portfolio tasting (now in its 19th year) returns to London

Grip the Grape, the WineBarn
The wine world tends to be dominated by the French and the Italians and the Spanish, but what about the Germans? Despite at one time competing with France for wine production, even inspiring a visit from Queen Victoria in 1845, the appeal for German wine has fizzled out since their export of Blue Nun in the '60s.

But the WineBarn aims to change that perception, enlightening others to the real glory of German wine. They export from nine regions in Germany, dealing with many winemakers who’ve made wine for hundreds of years.

140 German wines will be on show at the WineBar

And for the past 18 years, these winemakers have flown over to London to offer a special tasting of over 140 wines – showing that German wines deserve to be credited as some of the best in the world.

Grip the Grape, the WineBarn's Annual Portfolio event at the Army & Navy Club in London, offers the chance to drink these lovely wines as well as to learn the history and practice behind making them. The winemakers themselves will teach you about the climates, soils, and cellar techniques that make German wine unique.

This delicious event is a must for any wine enthusiast.
