Sosharu, Clerkenwell

Sosharu comes to the Turnmill Building, Clerkenwell

Fresh rice cooked in seafood dashi, served with tempura clams, ikura and Japanese young onion

Jason Atherton has steadily been building as one of London's most prolific and respected chefs. From Pollen Street Social to Social Wine and Tapas, Jason places a strong emphasis on British food, done with care. Now his new Japanese restaurant in Clerkenwell marks a departure from the trend.

The new Jason Atherton Japanese restaurant Sosharu will be an izakaya-style dining experience, in the Turnmill Building, Clerkenwell. He'll still be placing a strong emphasis on British ingredients, but it will all be Japanese cuisine: from chashu pork belly with udon and king oyster to sukiyaki wagyu beef with glass noodles, young leeks.

Head chef Alex Craciun has a long training both with the Social Company and Pollen Street Social, so diners can rest assured they are in safe hands. Given how we feel about all his other ventures, we can't wait to try Jason Atherton's new restaurant. Shosharu is the place to be this March.
