Chef Leandro Carreira brings Portugeuse home cooking to Climpson's Arch

Climpson's Arch
Leandro Carreira has cooked in some of the world’s best kitchens. A master of Iberian cuisine, he’s enjoyed a three-year stint at Northern Spain’s internationally-renowned Mugaritz, and worked alongside Portuguese powerhouse Nuno Mendes at London’s Viajante.

Now Carreira comes to Climpson’s Arch: the London Fields location once home to the sensational Som Saa. His pop-up L.C. is to specialise in simple, high-quality Portuguese fare, with the chef drawing inspiration from the everyday dishes of his childhood. Bacalhau de Fernanda, for instance, is a pork rib and offal rice recipe inspired by Carreira’s mother’s cookbook. We’re excited to hear more.

Charmingly DIY, Climpson’s Arch is an ideal location for this kind of informal cooking. With expectations so high, this is certainly one to keep an eye on.
