The Smoking Goat

New Thai restaurant in Soho, The Smoking Goat is causing a stir among London foodies.

Home-dried chillis at The Smoking Goat
Behind an unassuming moss green frontage on Denmark Street, new restaurant The Smoking Goat is delivering authentic Thai street food to a London audience.
Seb Holmes, former sous-chef at Peckham Thai favourite The Begging Bowl, has opened his own restaurant in Soho that is being lauded not only for its powerhouse street food menu, but also its expansive wine and cocktail list – they even have a daily rotating punch.
There's no phone, no website, and no reservations, so just turn up and hope to beat off your fellow revelers for a table. The Smoking Goat is at its best late at night, open until 12 for food and jostling with diners already a few drinks down, looking for something Siamese to round off their evening.
We recommend you throw caution to the winds and order the whole Cornish crab, for which eating with your hands is a downright necessity.
