JUMA at the Jam Tree

Michelin trained chef Philip Juma hosts another sellout Iraqi pop-up food experience at the Jam Tree in Clapham.

JUMA at the Jam Tree
The team behind last February sell-out supperclub JUMA are back at The Jam Tree in early April, bringing with them the latest in Iraqi cuisine and inviting diners to 'explore the culinary heritage of an ancient culture'.
JUMA is the brainchild of Philip Juma, city boy turned pop-up chef, who has set his sights on bringing his experience in the kitchens of The Savoy and Ishbilia (and his time on the street food circuit with The Wild Game Co. and others) to the under-represented but richly varied cuisine of Iraq.
The event again takes place in the Jam Tree, where a mix of modern, clean lines and ornate, colonial-style flourishes. Alongside the food, diners will be immersed in Iraqi and middle-eastern social dining culture, and the evening will be sound-tracked by Cedric Bardawil, curator of the exciting art-music crossover initiative Something in The Attic, sometime Psychemagik collaborator, and a man with a passion for fusing the melodies of the Middle East with modern soul and funk grooves.
Around sixty places will be available on the night – JUMA's past popularity means you'll probably need to book in early as its a regular sell-out.
