Hank's Po' Boys at the Kitchenette

New residency at Portobello Docks' Kitchenette from street food favourites Hank's Po looks mouthwateringly good.

Hank's Po' Boys at the Kitchenette
In December the latest in a long line of great London pop-up restaurants took up residency at the Kitchenette's restaurant space in Ladbroke Grove. It's the turn of Hank's Po' Boys, which Peckham residents will know from their regular spot at the Peckham Market, serving the best of New Orleans cuisine with a cutting edge, British twist.
Hanks offers a lunchtime spread of the chicken and pulled pork Po' Boys (the South's version of the classic American sub) that made their reputation, but with a residency at the gorgeous Kitchenette space, they've branched out, offering a line-up through December that featured roast sprout salad with bacon crumb, buttermilk fried chicken, Maque Choux and the classic New Orleans gumbo.
Closed over Christmas, they're back with a vengeance in the new year, with a new menu to explore, and open from Thursday to Sunday until late January. But be sure to book ahead – the 'Po Boys have created quite a buzz, and are filling out their temporary new home with ease.
