Noma chef Hackney pop up: Pretty F*cking Good Toast

Chocolate with duck salami? Marmite with rose petals? That's what happens when gourmet toast specialists Pretty F*cking Good Toast (PFGT) hold an evening pop-up residency

Pop Up Pretty Fucking Good Toast: Machine No. 3 residency
“Toast is our thing. But not just any toast… pretty f*cking good toast,” says PFGT founder Dave Darmanin, who once had a stint working at the world's best restaurant, Noma. “We take all the ingredients, skill, finesse and twiddly-bits of fine dining, and serve it up on toasts so fancy you could wear them on your head at Ascot Ladies Day.”

Some of the flavour combinations look a little insane, mixing chocolate with duck salami and marmite with rose petals, but we bet it will also be insanely delicious.

Machine No. 3 is a neighbourhood bar in Homerton, whose name derives from the unusual setting of the bar - a dilapidated old laundry.

Each toast has been paired with its perfect beer companion by Beavertown Brewery. Beavertown Brewery’s Fredrik Bjerkseth commented. “The pedigree of the people involved was just way too compelling to not get involved with. Playing with flavours is what we are all about and putting our beer together with this pretty f*cking good toast in a wicked setting is something we can’t wait to get started on.”
