The Harcourt restaurant, Marylebone

New Marylebone restaurant The Harcourt: Nordic Cuisine in an English setting

The Harcourt restaurant, Marylebone
Andrew Endean, of Hotel du Vin and Malmaison renown, is to open a new European restaurant in Marylebone: The Harcourt will be serving up Nordic Cuisine, in the heart of residential London.

From Swedish afternoon Fika to all day modern European dining with a Scandi touch, chef Kimmo Makkonen will be keeping to his Nordic roots. There will also be an indoor barbecue and Bertha grill. River Cafe and Newman Street Tavern's sommelier Finbar Naumann will be curating the wine list, so keen connoisseurs can be reassured they're in safe hands.

As always, atmosphere is key – a five story townhouse in Marylebone. with forty covers in the ground floor bar, a semi-private conservatory and a large dining room in the rear. We've yet to see the interiors, but we're expecting a chic, Scandi twist on the standard British gastropub.

There will be a pre-opening soft launch promotion offering guests 30% off food from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 April, between noon and 11pm (10:30pm Sunday).
