Claw Carnaby, seafood restaurant London

Sustainable British seafood street food eatery, Claw opens permanent Carnaby, London restaurant aiming to debunk notion seafood needs to be a luxury. Worth shelling out for.

Scallop and bacon burger breakfast at Claw
Scallop and bacon brioche rolls for breakfast, yes please! This is starting the day on a whole other level and proving seafood doesn't have to be only a luxury treat.

Crustaceous pop-up Claw has made it to solid ground with the opening of their first permanent seafood-forward restaurant in Soho. Founder Fabian Clark promises an expanded menu covering turf as well as surf and vegetarian choices too. Clark was shocked to discover Britain exports 80% of its crab to Europe and Asia, Claw helps to redress the balance.

The menu is a homage to the best of coastal Britain created with head chef Josh Levy. Key is the sustainable and responsible sourcing direct from the fishermen at Start Bay in Devon and on land too, cutting out the middlemen.

Breakfast will include chilli scrambled eggs with crab and samphire too, while the lunch and dinner menu offer pork stuffed squid with kaffir lime, crab mac and cheese, trout poke and fried chicken with cod's roe. Cocktails will reference the coast and be priced accessibly too.

Trust us. It’s worth shelling out (modestly) for.

Price: £35.00+ for two including drinks, far less for breakfast
