What's on at the Greenwich and Docklands Festival this year? Here's our guide to GDIF 2017.
The Greenwich and Docklands International Festival returns once more to the greater Greenwich area. Public spaces will be transformed into innovative, site-specific performances as part of London's biggest celebration of outdoor theatre. With a focus on developing outdoor performance work from deaf and disabled artists, the festival aims to provide a platform for experimental artworks across all disciplines.

FierS à Cheval

10PM - 11PM, Cutty Sark Gardens
French street theatre Compagnie des Quidams will be performing their production, FierS à Cheval, a spectacular equestrian display of illumination accompanied by a symphonic soundtrack.
Museum of the Moon
Friday 23 June - Sunday 25 June 2017
Times vary, Greenwich Park
Luke Jerram's stunning artwork lands in Greenwich Park. The seven-metre inflatable moon sculpture features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface, with a surround sound composition by BAFTA winning composer Dan Jones featuring archive audio from moon landings. The Museum of the Moon is free during the day: on Friday 23 June (6PM - 9PM), Saturday 24 June (2PM - 9PM), and Sunday 25 June (12PM - 7PM). Tickets for nighttime viewings at 10PM and 11PM are £10.

There will be a selection of incredible family events available as part of the Greenwich Fair, such as the Virtual Reality Playground, a Strong Lady, and How I Hacked My Way into Space, an interactive storytelling session brought to you by the storytelling troupe, Unlimited.

GDIF's Pride programme celebrating the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales. Make sock puppet partners with Puppet Paramour, or get involved in the outlandish hair of OSADIA, a theatrical beauty parlour that turns audience members into stylish showpieces as the outlandish hairdressers use them create original hair art.
The Colour of Light

8PM - 9:30PM, begins at the Assembly Statues
Enormous colour-wheels will roll through the streets of Woolwich, welcoming everyone along the way. The promenade performance celebrates inclusion and open-heartedness to a soundtrack by composer Shri Sriram, this finale promises to be a night to remember.
