Kenzo introduces new capsule collection for Christmas

Kenzo clothing takes a festive turn with a new capsule collection

What?
Following on from the success of the Kenzo tiger sweater, the label has launched a festive capsule collection, enabling wearers to stay on trend throughout Christmas.
The range takes the now easily recognisable Kenzo tiger print as the basis for the collection, printing onto glittering jumpers in navy and black. Also in the range are eye print teeshirts and sweaters, along with watches, wallets and shoes. Available for both men and women, this is a fun twist on the usual ugly christmas jumper. A playful, if not ground breaking, capsule collection.

About
Kenzo has enjoyed a change of fortunes of late, making a welcome return to the fashion front line. This is largely due, no doubt, to the appointment of Opening Ceremony founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim as creative directors in 2012. Kenzo is the eponymous label of Japanese designer Kenzo Takada. Takada opened his first store in 1970 and the clothes quickly became representative of seventies fashion as a whole. The menswear label was founded in 1983 and enjoyed similar success. In the early 2000's, after the departure of Takada from the brand, Kenzo fell away from the public eye. However Kenzo has enjoyed a change of fortunes of late, making a welcome return to the fashion front line. This is largely due, no doubt, to the appointment of Opening Ceremony founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim as creative directors in 2012
