Love shopping but couldn't pin a dropped hem if your life depended on it? Is it easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for you to thread one yourself? The Stitch Academy aims to inspire Londoners to appreciate fashion techniques, and they're returning to hip shopping venue Hackney Walk with a series of free workshops. Best of all, they've roped in some of London's most exciting designers and influencers to help.

Every weekend in April, both Saturday and Sunday, there's a free workshop. But sign up now before all the fashion graduates get there first.

Our picks:

Mimi Wade, currently found at the Fashion East pop-up in Selfridges, opens the series with a fashion illustration class on 25 March.
Later on, look forward to Ashley Williams, who made waves as one of London Fashion Week's NewGen designers, leading a printmaking class on 8 April. Susie Bubble, whose Style Bubble blog has become one of the most successful of all fashion blogs, will be running an online writing masterclass on 30 April.

See you there.
