Icons of Norway, Skandium

Head down to Skandium, Knightsbridge this February for a showcase of exclusively Norwegian products

Icons of Norway, Skandium
Norwegian design has a tough deal. Long over-shadowed by their Swedish counterparts, designs from Norway have been overlooked over the years.

This year, Skandium, for 10 days in February, it wants to shine a light on Norwgian design with an exclusive 'Icons of Norway'. On Brompton road, we'll find a range of the country's products and designers from 1940 to the present day.

Each object will be available to purchase during the exhibition and we're particularly excited about the iconic freeblown Magnor Glassverk pieces, and will be sure to pick up a few of their wine glasses. The folsky Bunad Blanket, designed by Andreas Engesvik and derived from traditional Norwegian costume, is another favourite, as are Hans Brattrud's icnonic Scandia chairs. Considered ingenious in their 1957 beginnings, these timeless mid-century classics makes a unique talking point in any sitting room.
