Hermès Wanderland: Saatchi Gallery

Practice the art of ‘urban wandering’ down dream-like sets filled with goodies from the Parisian accessories house Hermès archives.

Hermès Wanderland: Saatchi Gallery
Hermès archives 2015
Inspired by the art of urban wandering (yes, you heard right), this eleven room installation at the Saatchi gallery is all about the iconic Parisian accessories house Hermès.
In this fantastical dream world, visitors will find eleven rooms designed by set designer Hubert le Gall. Each Parisian-style space also features surreal installations by a diverse selection of artists. Be inspired in the Parisian square, the covered passage and in the cafe of forgotten objects.
The exhibition is doing the rounds of Europe’s fashion capitals, so catch it before it disappears off to Paris and Milan.
Pierre-Alexis Dumas: Hermès Artist Director
“Flânerie, that wonderfully liberating art of urban wandering, is second nature to Hermès, one could even say our most profound nature”, recounts Pierre-Alexis Dumas, the house’s Artistic Director and sixth generation member, evoking the 2015 Hermès theme.
