Nestled behind Lambeth Palace, the Garden Museum is a little known gem in London which boasts a sumptuous knot garden bursting with scarlet runner beans, red maples and tulip trees. While strolling through, pay a visit to the retrospective of little known, but highly influential garden designer Russell Page, who worked for the likes of Oscar de la Renta and Wallis, the Duchess of Windsor.

Page is seen to be one of the greatest garden designers of the 20th century, with stylish horticultural escapes for the Battersea Park Festival Gardens in the 1951 Festival of Britain, and the serene Russell Page Frick Collection garden in New York. He began life as a painter, which helped him imbue his designs with a certain artistic flair.
In this retrospective at the Garden Museum, London, you'll find over fifty paintings, photographs and drawings from Page's archive that reveal why the designer was so popular that he could charge $1000 a day.
