Ready Made Go 2, Ace Hotel x London Design Festival

Shoreditch's Ace Hotel is the epitome of urban cool. Beloved by hipsters, models and creatives alike, the three-year old NYC import is one of East London's buzziest destinations. The site once housed one of the dreariest corporate hotels in London, but Ace's fabulous design - a mixture of vintage flare and industrial chic - has reinvigorated this stretch of high street.

It's not surprising, therefore, that the hotel is one of the key destinations for London Design Festival 2015. For the second year running, Ace Hotel London is collaborating with Modern Design Review to present Ready Made Go 2.

This project includes commissions of five London-based designers who have each created installations or design objects, which will become permanent features of the Ace Hotel. The carefully curated team of designers includes Turner Prize winners Assemble, Jochen Holz, PATTERNITY, Silo Studio, and Toogood. The items, many of which will be for sale at the hotel's concept store, range from small and practical everyday essentials to more ambitious larger installations.

We particularly love Turner Prize winning ensemble Assemble's original series of smoky ceramics, which have been transformed with a domestic barbecue. Check out Toogood's hand stitched, highly-covetable quilts too.
