Winter Edit: the hottest interior design trends of 2019
The winter season is, for many of us, when we spend most of our time at home. It therefore makes sense that you should give your interiors special attention at this time of year so that you can hibernate in style. We've gathered together the cosiest winter trends that will make you look forward to that quiet night in.

Pantone: Butterscotch

Pantone recently unveiled their Autumn/Winter 19/20 London colour palette after London Fashion Week. Crabapple, Merlot and Hazel were amongst the list of popular hues, but our favourite by far has to be Butterscotch. This delicious colour is an utter treat for the eyes. Go for rich velvet or woollen textures for extra warmth or opt for the light caramel colour of vegan leather.

Into the woods

Wood is an easy way to introduce a minimalist yet warm atmosphere into your space. Opt for lighter materials like pine or beech to channel a fresh Scandi look and pair with woollen or woven textures – a gloriously snug throw (see below) will look great draped over a simple wooden chair. If sourced responsibly, wood can be one of the eco-friendlier materials, and if you're after sustainable wooden statement pieces, then look no further than British interiors brand Sebastian Cox.

Game of throws

Winter is coming! If you take snuggling up at home as seriously as we do, then you'll want to invest in a proper throw to get you through the colder months. Go for a lighter feel with lovely lambswool or splash out on decadent cashmere.

Clash of the tartans

If you're afraid of deep colours creeping into your neutral palette, then go for muted tones like camel or brown. Wrap yourself up like a present in tartan bedsheets and you can wake up feeling like it's Christmas every day.
