For the past 30 years BalletLORENT had been delighting generations of young children with its expertly crafted pieces of dance–theatre, that live side by side with its eclectic work for older audiences. The company, founded and run by Liv Lorent, has been a regular at Sadler's Wells with shows such as Rumpelstiltskin, and Rapunzel, for example.

This year BalletLORENT comes the Sadler's Wells's small, intimate Lilian Baylis Studio with The Velveteen Rabbit, a piece inspired by Margery Wiilliams's tale, which combines story-telling, music and dance.

A stuffed rabbit and a boy embark on an adventure about growing up and the meaning of love, and what it might take to become real.

This 45-minute show is aimed at children as young as four; and after the performance the young audience are invited to meet the costumed performers. It sounds like just the thing to crown a long Easter holiday...
