Exhibition on Screen: Vincent van Gogh, A new way of seeing

Aiming to make the world's masterpieces accessible to the masses, Exhibition on Screen brings the biggest art exhibitions from galleries around the world to local cinemas in London and around the world.
The 2015 series continues with Vincent van Gogh, A new way of seeing, a new film about one of the world's most fascinating artists. With complete and unprescended access to the treasures of Amsterdam's Van Gogh Museum, the film marks the 125th anniversary of the artist's death along with a major reshowing of the gallery's collection. The masterpieces are brought to the big screen in high definition, with specially invited guests offering interpretations and explanations of his iconic work.
There will be a screening of the film at the Curzon Chelsea on 14 April, followed by a Q&A with the film's director David Bickerstaff,  the executive producer of Exhibition on Screen Phil Grabsky, and artist and judge on BBC’s The Big Painting Challenge Lachlan Goudie, who will provide art lovers with an opportunity to gain a better insight into the curation behind this fascinating film.
The series has already brought Matisse, from Tate Modern and MoMa, Rembrant from the National Gallery and Rijksmuseum to UK screens, and Vermeer's Girl with A Pearl Earring, and has now released three beautifully shot documentaries on DVD – Manet: Portraying Life; Vermeer and Music: The Art of Love and Leisure and Munch, 150.
Exhibition on Screen also has a number of upcoming releases: next in the series they'll be showing The Impressionists, from the Musée du Luxembourg, the National Gallery and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The film explores a comprehensive series of works by the likes of Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, Degas and Pissarro, and invites viewers to uncover the story of these great revolutionaries. The Impressionists will hit UK screens on 26 May.
