THE MEN'S SPA RANGE TO HAVE ON YOUR RADAR

Men are finally getting their moment in the spa. The men's grooming market is estimated to reach £21 billion by 2025, and both men's spa treatments and product presence in beauty aisles are on the rise.

Men are buying into regimes and ranges dedicated to their skin; after all, it's thicker and has different needs than their female counterparts – so this is certainly one brilliant step for mankind.

The shift might also be due to lockdown where people are thinking about re-emerging as sharper version of themselves. So if you're looking to polish up your act, or in need brilliant gift ideas for the man in your life, then check out Gentlemen's Tonic – it's a range you'll find in luxury spas such as The Langley and Dormy House and features products that simplify a self-care regime and cater for all types, ages and tones too.

If you're in any doubt how to use them, check out our guide to ‘at home’ facial pampering by Hannah Osborne, spa manager at the award-winning Dormy House in the Cotswolds, where they’ve introduced the Mayfair ‘manpering’ brand into their spa services menu.

The easy guide to at-home facial pampering with Dormy House and Gentlemen's Tonic

1. Cleanse the right way

'Start your "at home" facial with a cleanse to deeply clean the skin and remove excess oils, impurities and the dirt of the day. Apply a small amount of Foaming Cleanser to your hands and massage over the face and neck, applying to damp skin, really focusing on any problem areas such as the nose or chin. To remove, splash the skin with warm water and pat dry. Repeat morning and night for tip-top skin.'

2. Scrub up well

'Follow cleansing with an exfoliation once a week (or twice if you're oily) to improve skin quality. Use a small amount of Exfoliating Facial Scrub and massage it over the face, making sure you get around the nose and chin area, and anywhere else you find gets congested or flaky. The bamboo particles in this scrub will remove dirt and dead skin cells, and the cocoa and shea butters help to soften and moisturise. Rinse gently with warm water and again pat dry.'

3. The modern-meets-traditional shaving ritual

'A great shave blade will not only give you baby-soft, fuzz-free skin, but it also helps to exfoliate the face, so invest in a set that provides a barber-quality blade with aesthetically pleasing looks too.'

6. Up your hydration

'Use the Daily Moisturiser both morning and night. Apply a small amount over the face and neck as this will help retain hydration and protect the skin, helping to close pores and heal any nips from shaving. This moisturiser is particularly effective because it doesn't leave a shine or oily residue, but is packed with good-for-you seaweed minerals and cocoa butter.'
