London Design Festival: where to eat
LDF 2017 is the biggest design movement of the year, but its sheer scale can be overwhelming. When it all gets too much, slip into one (impeccably designed) chair and take stock of each London Design Festival district's food.
There are nine Design Districts this year spread over the capital: Brompton, Chelsea, Islington, Clerkenwell, Shoreditch, Mayfair, Brixton, Pimlico Road and Bankside: here's where to stop and refresh at each one. Make sure to note down the special LDF offers too.
The Royal College of Art and Imperial College have created a treasure trail around the theme ‘food design thinking’ to encourage open innovation amongst the World famous stalls of Borough Market.
If you're going solo, the Open Kitchen, a space to inspire creative cooking, is the perfect place to brush up on those much neglected cooking skills. If you've got the kids in tow, don't hesitate to take them along too; there are plenty of events promoting children’s good eating habits throughout the weekend.
