On the 22nd and 23rd December, prepare for some classical-cartoon fusion with Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels . The concept is extraordinary and not one to miss: With a score provided by the Aurora Orchestra, conductor Nicolas Collon will be using an on-stage telephone (amongst other props) to communicate with the duo. Conducting suggestions will come in via ‘Music Marvels HQ’ - their underground base conveniently located beneath the stage. With Wallace and Gromit’s penchant for disaster we await with bated breath to see how things turn out.
This fun filled, interactive evening is a fantastic way for young children to experience the thrill of an orchestra for the first time. The show will feature classical favourites by Mozart, Debussy and Stravinsky, as well as Wallace’s own composition My Concerto in Ee, Lad. The multi award-winning animation A Matter of Loaf and Death will also play with a live performance of Julian Nott's original orchestral score. To top off the interactivity, a model-maker from Aardman will be on site, offering everyone (young and old) the chance to make their very own clay Gromit - a perfect family activity. Don’t miss out book now!
