In celebration of Roald Dahl’s centenary year this 2016, the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon is adapting one of his most popular stories: James and the Giant Peach, and is bringing it to their kid friendly stage.

For those parents unacquainted with James and the Giant Peach (is that possible? What have you been doing?) this is the story of a mysterious man who gives James Trotter an unexpected gift one dark night... a bag of glowing, wriggling lights and a promise of magic.

When James drops the bag underneath a dead tree, something amazing happens: a large fuzzy peach begins to grow and grow and grow. Little does James know that the enormous peach is just the start of his marvellous adventures and a chance for him to escape his horrible aunts.

We can't wait to join James and his new-found insect friends as they embarked on an extraordinary musical adventure that takes them halfway across the world.

Suitable for ages 5-11
