This October half term, the theatre is once again flexing it's creative muscle, with a production of Dream City: a high-energy, musical dance show, all about intelligent chaos and one-upmanship.
Think of it as a dance party in which seven musicians and dancers go wild on stage. Bouncing off one another like human pin-balls or when moving in worlds of their own, the music compels the dancers to become more and more frantic and engage in wilder, more dangerous games before descending into 'orgaised' chaos. It's not long before the stage overflows with costumes, bodies and madness.
Dream City comes to the Unicorn courtesy of Dutch company, De Dansers, known in the Netherlands for their full-on, energetic family productions.
Suitable for ages 11+
After the show, families are invited to a discussion hosted by Peter Haycock before the 3pm and 6pm performances. These will be BSL interpreted by Paul Michaels. Expect lively discussion and debate!
