The Adidas Yeezy Boost, Kanye West's debut shoe for the brand, was fairly well received in New York fashion week. Indeed in comparison to the negative reaction against his previous collections his recent collaboration with Adidas at NYFW was a veritable triumph - though it still received very mixed reviews from the fash pack. The Kanye West fashion show was a collection with a distinctly dystopian aesthetic; models wore oversized jumpers and camo coats, as ready to run from 1984 esque powers as they were to march down the catwalk.

On the front row were Jay Z and Beyonce, Kanye fashion avid supporters. With such an endorsement it is unsurprising that the Yeezy shoe, scheduled to land at Dover Street Market at the end of the month, will be assigned on a lottery system.

Soft in structure with an aesthetic that is utilitarian and futuristic this is a strange sort of statement piece; it may look like a ski boot but this will carry with it a cache so powerful that the bloggers will quite literally throw themselves at your feet.
Available in a range of colours Kanye's collection marks a small departure from a sense of ridicule that has often accompanied his sartorial work. We look forward to his future designs for if they continue to harness the same influences and thoughtfulness we predict he will grow in prowess in a similar vein to Victora Beckham.
