But you no longer need to travel to Italy to indulge in la dolce vita, as Marie-Louise Sciò, the driving force behind the sublime holiday hideaway, has collaborated with MATCHESFASHION on a high-summer capsule collection loaded with Italian glamour.
Launching on 5 August on MATCHESFASHION, the capsule is named ISSIMO for the new lifestyle platform that Sciò, CEO and creative director of Pellicano Hotels launched earlier this summer. The tightly edited collection brings together pieces from five luxury fashion and lifestyle brands, marrying beauty, practicality and the sheer joy of summer.
‘The brands that Marie-Louise has chosen and the product that they have created is very special,' says Natalie Kingham, fashion and buying director of MATCHESFASHION, who collaborated with Sciò last year on The Grand Tour, a travelling pop-up. 'We are glad to be a part of this launch.’
The uplifting pieces practically sing of summer, wherever that might take you: there's nothing here that wouldn't work as well at home as abroad. The collection includes swimwear (but of course), courtesy of Solid and Striped, as well as nightwear from Florentine heritage brand Loretta Caponi and bags and travel solutions from Anya Hindmarch.
'It is such a pleasure to work with like-minded creatives and continue this journey born out of our collective love for Italy,' says Sciò. 'Our capsule collection, along with the renewed collaboration with MATCHESFASHION will give Italophiles the chance to discover gems that are quintessentially Italian.’
