Culture Whisper freely admits to being a huge fan, so we are very much looking forward to Cycles, Boy Blue's latest work, which will have its world premiere at the Barbican this spring.
Cycles marks something of a departure from Boy Blue's recent works: whereas many of those had a narrative basis, Cycles is all about perpetual movement, about the cycles of life from day to night and life to death. Nine skilful and energetic dancers will bring Sandy's choreography to life to the sound of Asante's music, which is built on a steady 4 x 4 rhythm. If previous shows are anything to go by, it'll soon have the Barbican audience buzzing with excitement, and we have no hesitation in recommending it.
